I asked my parents for my first microphone when I was five years old and I quickly became infatuated with it. I couldn't sleep without cuddling its XLR cable every night, which worried my mother to no end. I started piano lessons at 7, but quickly moved to guitar when I was 10 as my musical focus had shifted over time. I settled on drums at the age of 13 and played in a few hardcore and metal bands throughout middle and high school in Los Angeles. In 2007, I started working on Pro Tools as I found I was always hyper-focused on the quality of my band's recorded music. My main goal throughout high school was to emulate the sounds of Jerry Finn's productions on Enema of the State and Take off Your Pants and Jacket, which were my two favorite Blink 182 records as a kid. I attended college at the Clive Davis Institute at New York University, studying engineering, mixing, and mastering from producers such as Bob Power and Jim Anderson for 4 years. I have 11 years of Pro Tools experience and an additional 4 years of studio internship experience for John Feldmann (Good Charlotte, The Used, Blink 182), 4th Street Studios, and Shelter Island Studios. I own a private studio in Los Angeles called "The Hallway," where I produce, engineer, and mix projects.
